Occupational Health and Safety

In honor of Occupational Health and Safety Month, Team GUYOIL participated in the Occupational Health and Safety Walk organized by the Ministry of Social Protection.

More than 25 members of staff participated in this walk.

Pakaraima Mountain Safari

The Guyana Oil Company Limited has once again sponsored the North Pakaraima Mountain Safari hosted by Rainforest Tours in collaboration with the Guyana Tourism Authority.

This safari covered Regions 4, 8, 9 and 10, starting below sea level and reaching approximately 3,800 feet above sea level. The safari began at the GUYOIL Regent Street Service Station on 14TH April and ended approximately 600 miles away at the Rupununi Rodeo in Lethem on 21st April.

Earth Day 2019

In Honour of Earth Day 2019, our HSE Officer and a team did some gardening at our Head Office.

We’ve added new bougainvilleas, roses and a few crotons to our head office garden.

World Childhood Cancer Day

In honour of International Childhood Cancer Awareness Day, The Guyana Oil Company Limited granted the wishes of 5 children who are currently in various stages of their battle with cancer. The handing over took place on Saturday, February 16th at the Kingston Seawall. This initiative was made possible through our partnership with the “Giving Hope Foundation” .
