The Guyana Oil Company Limited also sells other fuel products which include:
Super 95 with an octane rating of 95 is GUYOIL’s motor gasolene. GUYOIL sells a premium grade gasolene with 95 Octane.
Octane is the standard measurement of performance for a motor gasolene. The benefits of Super 95 are:

Super 95 also protects your vehicle’s carburetors and fuel injection system.
There are two types of diesel fuel available at GUYOIL. These are Low Sulfur Diesel (LSD) and Ultra Low Sulfur Diesel (ULSD). The difference between these two products is the sulfur content. ULSD has a lower sulfur content.
ULSD is an environmentally friendly fuel. It is a cleaner burning diesel fuel and will benefit your vehicle in the following ways:

KEROSENE
Kerosene is oil, often called paraffin oil or heating oil that is used to power and fuel both industrial or commercial engines and machinery as well as powering domestic heating systems. In Guyana, kerosene is used mainly for cooking and lighting. GUYOIL only sells 1-K grade kerosene which has the lowest sulfur content.
AVIATION TURBINE FUEL
Jet Fuel or Aviation Turbine fuel, is a type of aviation fuel designed for use in aircraft powered by gas-turbine engines. This fuel is colorless to straw-colored in appearance. The most commonly used fuels for commercial aviation are Jet A and Jet A-1.
GUYOIL only imports Jet A-1 fuel.
Quality Determinant
Fuel sold to airlines must comply with international specifications. One standard used in the United States for Jet A-1 Fuel is ASTM D1655. This standard is the active standard for aviation turbine fuels.
How does the consumer know that GUYOIL’s fuel meets the required standard?
Guyoil is required to send a sample of its JET A-1 fuel to a lab for testing and the results are sent to the relevant parties. This is done for each shipment of aviation fuel.
HEAVY FUEL OIL
Fuel oil is fuel consisting mainly of residues from crude oil distillation. It is used primarily for steam boilers in power plants, aboard ships, and in industrial plants.
This product has the lowest demand among all GUYOIL’s bulk products and is sold mainly to companies which operate generators that use fuel oil.
LUBRICANTS
GUYOIL is the sole authorized distributor for Castrol Lubricants in Guyana. Castrol provides technically superior engine oils and specialty lubricants for your car, motorcycle, truck and boat.
What is a Lubricant?
A lubricant forms a film between two surfaces, separating them fully or partially. The film sticks to the surface while flowing in the middle thus allowing one surface to move over the other with less friction.
Why are Lubricants necessary?
Lubricants are necessary to prevent friction between the metal parts of a moving engine or gearbox.
Why is friction harmful to an engine or gearbox?
Friction results in a waste of energy for your vehicle, damage to the surface of your engine, unnecessary heating of your engine, and noise from your engine. However, friction is eliminated with the use of a lubricant.
Types of Lubricants
There are many standards used to classify lubricants, however, for this resource we will simply classify lubricants based on whether it is a Multigrade or Monograde Lubricant.
Monograde Lubricants and Multigrade Lubricants
The difference between these two classes of lubricants is the range of temperatures that they can perform within.
For example, a monograde lubricant such as HD40 will perform at its optimum at a temperature of 40 degrees celcius. On the other hand, Multigrade lubricants such as CRB 15W40 will perform at its optimum within a range of 15 degrees celcius and 40 degrees celcius.

THE PROBLEM
The oil in your motorcycle engine should provide effective lubrication during riding and protection when the engine isn’t in use. Most engine wear happens during start up. When the engine is switched off, ordinary oils drain off engine parts, leaving them unprotected.

THE PROBLEM
